In the far future, aliens wielding mysterious technology colonize a planet that knows itself only as Terran. Decades after the Terrans cast off their oppressors, toxins begin leaking from the aliens' artifacts, poisoning the fisheries upon which the Terrans depend. Thus begins an interplanetary search for new fisheries. Short story.
