Each new story brought to my mind of sitting with friends of my teens. Listening to the music in their basement rooms or cruising streets listing to “Stereo X”. Crowe writes with feeling and purpose that is a pleasure to read.

There was so many moments in Mr. Crowe’s story when I was overcome by emotion and found myself weeping. I cannot recommend this book enough!

I’ve always loved Cameron Crowe’s movies. But I knew very little about him until this book. I’d read early reviews and they made it sound like a companion to Almost Famous. It’s got some of that - but so much more and so much richer. It’s an incredible journey through his life in music and film but more importantly it’s about his family and their journey. It’s an amazing book. Highly recommend
  • If you love rock and roll you will love this book.

Very interesting to me as I was 14 years old when the Beatles happened. Great music is a happiness I will always cherish.

I’ve been waiting for this book to be made for a long time. This is the type of book you can read over and over again. I have never met Cameron Crowe but I’ve come close. His mother Alice used to be my regular at Tower Video and we’d talk about him at length on the regular. She was one of my favorite people. When he writes about her in his book I can almost hear her voice. He writes with his heart. I love that. I wish Rolling Stone or Mr Crowe would release a complete collection of all his interviews, instead of having to hunt them down on line…hint, hint.
