Description

In the shadows and flames, Primals will fall…
And from the blood and ash, new gods will rise. What was dreamt.

Poppy was never meant to awaken, and the consequences are devastating and far-reaching, stirring ancient powers from their slumber and transforming Casteel and Kieran in ways even the Fates couldn’t have foreseen. But what that means is the least of their concerns. For now.

What was foreseen.

The Blood Crown has fallen, but what has risen is a far greater danger than they’ve ever faced. From flesh and fire, the Great Conspirator has returned to the mortal realm, and he wants only one thing. They must stop the true Primal of Death before he regains his strength, and it won’t be easy. Even weakened, his influence is undeniable. His power, unthinkable.

Has come to be.

While the future of the realms rests upon them, they won’t stand alone. The gods have awakened—each harboring their own blood-soaked secrets. But they must navigate an unbalanced realm, where every choice—past and present—has the potential to not only undo everything they’ve fought for but also destroy the very bonds that have Joined them together.

For the Harbinger and the Bringer of Death and Destruction has risen.

  • What a disappointment!

The story keeps dragging, the characters changed completely! Nothing really happens till the end of the book and suddenly everything is rushed and the reader is left without understanding much, everything to sell another book! I lost interest in this story, won’t even bother to buy the next one! Shame on the writer and editors!
  • Almost ended up on the DNF

Tbh, this was long and very boring. Almost ended on my DNF list, had it not been for my iron will to finish this series. Joke’s on me, as this series did not close out with this elongated, waste-of-brain-energy of a book, and there apparently will be another. So yeah, read it if you’re into the series, but the previous books are miles better. This one is just a money maker for the publisher.

Do not buy this book. It’s not worth the benefit of the doubt. The storyline is gone and nothing makes sense. Nothing is cohesive. I stopped reading it. I wish I could get my money back. Great story turned into an awful depthless money grab.
  • Worth the wait

There was a lot of negative reviews for this book. But I fully disagree. It’s bringing a lot together from both series and she did a good job answering questions and leaving us with new things to wonder about. Anyway, it’s worth the read, the only bad part is now we have to wait for the next book!
  • Repetitive

The first half of the book was much too drawn out. I found myself wanting to skip whole pages just to get past the repetitiveness from previous chapters. I was also disappointed that there will be another book and wondering if it will really be the finale or if it will be just another drawn out story line that doesn’t really go anywhere.
  • Difficult to remain interested

This book ruined the series for me. I’m so tired of ANOTHER book needing to be made. It took three books for Poppy to wake up and it wasn’t worth the hype. Why is there ANOTHER book needed to complete the series?
  • Disappointing ending

It was too long for the the disappointing ending. There was no clarity of what happened to the three main characters.
  • Big title for a book where little happens

This book takes forever to get started and it seems like half the book is spent on trying to make up for poor character building in previous books. Any action scene is written in a very confusing way that seems like the author was trying to make it so detailed but it’s to the point where even with re reading the scene you still don’t know what’s happening. Too much time is spent on building complex character scenes but overall the book moves on very little. The book felt rushed towards the end since nothing happened in most of the book.
  • Skip most of the first half

This book needed an editor. The first half was bogged down with unnecessary and repetitive descriptions. It could have been half as long to improve the pacing.
