There were many inconsistencies and some really unbelievable moments, but overall, it was an okay read. It had interesting characters, a fun plot, and a good pace. It's a good book for a long plane ride or a day or two at the beach—nothing you need to take too seriously.

One of the best books I’ve ever read!!!

On outlier island w/ this book. I went in with fairly high expectations after all the glowing reviews and while I did enjoy one of the twists (did not see that coming!), there were too many moments that just didn’t work for me. I’m finding it difficult to explain why without revealing spoilers. There are some reviews on Goodreads that nail some of those reasons (they contain spoilers). I will say I could have eye rolled myself into next week at how gullible Amanda’s character is. She didn’t think for one second to confirm the man she’s been obsessed with bringing to justice is actually dead before going through with her part? No proof required? Really?? Not even a photo?!? Well… that’s a spoiler. Sorry! On a positive note, I do like the writing and enjoyed a good chunk of the book.

….and I never saw it coming!! So so good! Definitely a must read! I’m off, now, to read everything this author has ever written!
