Description

The unforgettable, heartbreaking love story from a New York Times bestselling author about a young socialite and the boy who once stole her heart—now an iconic motion picture starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.

At thirty-one, Noah Calhoun, back in coastal North Carolina after World War II, is haunted by images of the girl he lost more than a decade earlier. At twenty-nine, socialite Allie Nelson is about to marry a wealthy lawyer, but she cannot stop thinking about Noah. Thus begins the story of a love so enduring and deep it can turn tragedy into triumph, and may even have the power to create a miracle...

Every so often a love story so captures our hearts that it becomes more than a story—it becomes an experience to remember forever. The Notebook is such a book. It is a celebration of how passion can be ageless and timeless, a tale that moves us to laughter and tears and makes us believe in true love all over again...

I fear this ending but it only brings hope for what is to come for others who relate

The book is more detailed. I’m glad I read it cause I would’ve never known the depth of the story had I not. I’ve watched the movie like 3 times already. It’s good but not as good as the book. This is my first N.S. book and plan to read more in the future. His work is both beautiful and meaningful.

First time reading this even though I’ve seen the movie so many times. It was great, so many great lines of poetry and words of love.

I watched this movie for the first time when I was younger and continue to watch it to this day. I have never read the book and so when I found out it was offered free on this app, I was like umm reading it now. I’m not going to lie, I was a little disappointed that the movie and book are very different. I know that movies are longer so they have time to fill and add things, and let’s be honest, movies tend to change things. While reading, I was even skeptical that I might not like it. But after finishing it and thinking about it, I enjoyed the book because it is different than the movie. Definitely recommend reading it even if you’ve watched the movie!

Omg I believe a 100% the book is way better than the movie but I recommend you to watch the movie first then the book because after you will be mad how some stuff changed …TRUST ME because that’s me right now 😂

I’ve watched the movie countless times before but the book is so much better. It’s a page-turner that’s for sure. I’m a little bummed that the ending is so abrupt though. That’s my only complaint. 9.9999/10
